This multifunction laser was bought on sale and was well worth the price. It prints and copies fast and the text output is great looking. The best thing about the unit is the auto document feeder. Whether copying, scanning, or faxing, it reads the document fast and output is similarly fast. It scans into the included ScanSoft Paperport, a very nice package with OCR, file, and imaging capability. I only use it for scanning reports which are saved as a PDF and you can select the default location. ......

We've only had this printer for a couple of weeks but so far we LOVE it. I won't give it 5 stars at this point because I haven't had it long enough. Compared to our old inkjet printer this is so much nicer, faster. The copy function is as fast as a copy machine and I love the convenience of the flatbed. Have had this Brother MFC-7340 for about a month. As with most printers, it took a little time and care to set up and install on the first Acer Vista laptop. Bought this printer for some light home office and medium church duties. Setup is rather a breeze (USB). Just follow the instruction on CD, no issues. Haven't tried the wireless setup or wired network setup, yet.



Color printing is dull, but with a little tweaking of the printer's setting they come out as good as ink-jet.

We got this as a second/backup ptinter. It works great! Especially like the duplex feature. Saves a lot of paper. Doesn't have quite the vivid colors that our large HP color laser printer does, but for the price, the Brother can't be beat.

I've had my 4070CDW for two months. All was just great except that the colors were faded. I had read online reviews about how people had adjusted settings to improve the color, but none of the adjustments in the Brother printer driver did much to improve it.

I don't know about you, but I got really tired of inkjet printers. The software that came with it never seemed to work, and if that wasn't the problem, the dang thing was out of ink. So I had to run to the store to spend another $45 on cartridges. I swore never to buy another inkjet.

Then I stumbled on this sweet laser printer on sale at Office Max/Depot/Staples/whatever. It was almost an impulse buy, and I was out the door for about $305. It turned out to be the best impulse buy I ever mad......



I have so had it with HPs crappy service. Couldn't even get a simple question answered. Along came this CLP for less than the cost of the toner replacement for the HP. Guess what? I got a new brother! Great machine, great price. We'll see about the service, but honestly I don't think it is possible to be worse than HP.

first, everybody else is right: great solid construction, prints fast after initial warm up, toner cartridge price is reasonable. The initial cartridges that come with it seem to be lasting OK. Price is right.



I'm just going to list some downsides here:

1)plan are doing an setup of about a half hour to 45 minutes, it involves a lot of unpacking, inserting components, and removing shipping pins and installing software. No big deal there.



2)the colors printed are no......



The printer installed easily to Windows XP. It provides excellent color copy on various sizes of paper. Cartridges are easy to install. Colors are true. Operation is a little noisy and periodic cycling of the heater when idle is annoying. We power down when not doing a print job.

Needed to replace our HP color laser and decided to go with Brother as their network printers have been the best we've found. Our small office now has 7 Brother network printers. All are very easy to install over a network, are fast and work flawlessly. I would give this printer 5 stars if the color was just a little more vibrant. Quite sufficient for our needs though.
